Arizona Bison & Buffalo Hunts

If you live in Arizona and are interested in big game hunting you may be aware that there are only two areas in-state where buffalo hunting is legal. One is at Raymond Ranch, and the other at the House Rock Wildlife Area. In addition to geographic restrictions, Arizona uses a lottery system to determine which hunters are selected to receive a buffalo permit, a process which may take several years and require you to accumulate bonus points. Both the physical restrictions in place and the permit restrictions make hunting a bison in Arizona a dream that may never come true for you. At Hi Mountain Bison and Buffalo Hunts, we are excited to offer you a solution to your problems and give you the chance to hunt a buffalo without the frustration and hassle you would normally have to deal with. Instead of going through the bureaucracy and expense of obtaining a bison permit in Arizona, you are invited to travel from Arizona to our buffalo reserve in Utah year round, no matter the weather. With nearly 70 buffalo in our herd, you'll have great opportunity to find exactly what you're looking for in an animal, whether you want to hunt a yearling, or you're more interested in a larger animal. Adult buffalo can weigh between 1,400 to 2,500 pounds for males and 750 to 1,600 pounds for females, meaning you'll have a hard time finding bigger game to hunt. Hunting a buffalo has been a once in a lifetime even and a fulfillment of a lifelong goal for many of our Arizona guests. We hope that it will be for you as well. You're welcome to browse through the information on our site and take a look at our gallery to get an idea of what you can expect while visiting from Arizona, both from the terrain and the buffalo.
